Our ocean hats are made from recycled nylon, so naturally the fabric is very durable and forgiving. Our hardware is all plastic so you will not need to worry about any corrosion from salty water - YES, we have thought of EVERYTHING!

To keep your hats in the best condition:

• Rinse with fresh water after every salty session to keep them soft and salt free. Hand-washing in cold water works best and allowing them to dry in the shade.
• When you start to notice zinc/SPF build up around the headband, sweat, dirt or salt marks - a gentle hand-wash with a light detergent will spruce them up again without risking the integrity of the brim.
• Never put your ocean hats in the dryer, otherwise you'll be giving the kids a free hand-me-down! Allow to your hats to air dry in the shade instead.
• Avoid storing your hat in direct sunlight for extended periods of time as this can fade the colours over time.
• In humid climates, like the tropics - store in cool, dry, shaded places to avoid moisture forming mould.

Our hats are built for the elements and designed to keep up with the chaos! We will always replace faulty hats, however, we will not replace lids that have been entirely misused... if you care for your hat, it will care for you!
